Nationwide Muskies, Inc. Local Chapter
Fundraising Drive For Crash Mullins
Beginning To Take Off

Muskies, Inc., Daniel Boone Chapter #52
Open Tournament on Saturday, October 13, 2007

It is befitting that Kentucky's Muskies, Inc. Daniel Boone Chapter #52 (Crash's home chapter) has been the first local Muskies, Inc. chapter to schedule a fundraising outing/tournament to benefit the David "Crash" Mullins Multiple Myeloma Foundation on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Many of the chapter members have known Crash for 20+ years and feel very strongly about assisting him in this serious time of need. The one-day outing/tournament will offer winning payouts of $1,000, $600, and $300 for the top three boats. This tournament is open to all. The entry and registration fee is $100 per boat, and the payout amounts are based on a minimum expected field of 30 boats. Interested fishermen should contact:

MOREHEAD, Kentucky - August 2007. In anticipation of a number of planned local Muskies, Inc. chapter tournaments and activity days to benefit the David "Crash" Mullins Multiple Myeloma Foundation, and in an effort to meet Foundation fundraising target goals of $27,000 derived from corporate sponsorship; a mailing on August 4th has been directed to 100 well known Musky fishing tackle manufactures and associated Musky-related businesses in a call for co-sponsorship commitments. The Foundation sincerely hopes that many of these firms will deem it a valuable advertising opportunity to attach their brand/name to any and all of these anticipated events, with co-sponsorship levels ranging from $1,200 to $250. "How often is it that such name recognition can be had across numerous tournaments ... and all for a one-time, flat fee?" More details are provided here.

Begin Organizing Nationwide Muskies, Inc. Fundraising
Campaign To Assist In Funding Crash Mullins Cancer Tx

MOREHEAD, Kentucky - JULY 2007. An organized mailing and fundraising plea will take place on behalf of the David "Crash" Mullins Multiple Myeloma Foundation directed to the 52 Muskies, Inc. chapters located in 32 states nationwide. Crash Mullin's contribution of over 25+ years to both the Muskies, Inc. organization and the overall popularization of Musky sport fishing is well known.  Beginning in July, the Foundation will work to plan, assist, and coordinate fundraising fishing tournaments and other Musky-related special events with local Muskies, Inc. chapters nationwide.

It is the Foundation's sincerest wish that Corporate sponsorship by a number of Musky fishing equipment manufacturers play a primary role in underwriting a share of the costs involved in conducting such fundraising events.

The Foundation liaison for the planning and coordination of fundraising activities and special events is Administrative Director Sue Stripp.
