INTERNATIONAL MYELOMA FOUNDATION

When the diagnosis is MYELOMA, your #1 resource* is the IMF's website, www.myeloma.org

* In February 2007 an independent survey conducted by Target research Group, a market research company with headquarters in Nanuet, New York, determined that the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) - conducting research and providing education, advocacy, and support for myeloma patients, families, researchers, and physicians - is "the number one resource" for individual patients as well as leaders of regional support groups. The survey also found that the IMF excels in areas that matter most to patients: being extremely knowledgeable about issues related to myeloma, having up-to-date information, and putting the needs of patients and caregivers as the first priority.

The Myeloma Institute treats Multiple Myeloma patients from all over the world, and has one of the most active bone marrow transplantation centers for patients with numerous forms of cancer. This is the remarkable facility where Foundation namesake David "Crash" Mullins has chose to receive his treatment for Multiple Myeloma.

Crash's friends Jim Saric and Steve Heiting at Musky Hunter Magazine offered to help spread the word of Crash's recent cancer diagnosis with an announcement in the August/September 2007 upcoming issue. Crash has for many years been a field editor for this publication, having written articles on an array of Musky related topics.

Well known Ohio Musky fishing and hunting guide (and the Dayton, Ohio Store Manager of Gander Mountain) Tom Dietz has donated proceeds from a "Guide For A Day" trip to the David "Crash" Mullins Multiple Myeloma Foundation. Tom is also spearheading local fundraising efforts in Ohio among a number of independent Musky fishing organizations. Tom has been a good family friend of the Mullin's for many years.
